This month’s HorseGirl Of The Month is the talented Hunter/Jumper rider and a kid who’s giving so much back, Miss Sarah Ward. We’re talking some serious giving back to the community as Sarah pledged to give all her winnings this season to charity! HorseGirlTV® interviewed Sarah to find out a little bit about the her ambitions and some fun facts that make up this gifted equestrian!
Q: What’s your biggest ambition as a rider?
A: My biggest ambition as a rider would have to be to just be the best that I can be. I always strive to learn more and be better, and I feel like that can really take you as far as you want to go. If you have an open mind and are an ambitious and confident person, you can really go far.
Q: How long have you been riding?
A: I’ve been riding for 6 1/2 years.
Q: What are you currently reading?
A: I’m currently re-reading the 6th Harry Potter book – I’m a nerd! (Team HorseGirlTV is right there with Sarah with the love of fun, fantasy writing!)
Q: Do you like to listen to music when you ride?
A: I do like to listen to music when I ride if I’m in the ring alone. If not, I won’t listen to music so that way I can hear where they are in the ring.
Q: What’s your favorite playlist on your iPod and your current favorite song?
A: My current favorite song would have to be Hot Mess by Cobra Starship.
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: My favorite food is cold pizza.
Q: What’s your favorite beverage?
A: Chocolate milk! It’s an obsession. (Team HorseGirlTV says yum!)
Q: What’s your favorite HorseGirlTV webisode and why?
A: My favorite webisode is the interview with McLain Ward. He is definitely one of the people that I look up to the most. He is so incredibly talented and has amazing horses, he also has excellent equitation! I hope one day to ride even half as well as he can!
