The 49th Annual Hunt Country Stable Tour will take place on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville, Virginia, this self-driven tour includes some of the most prestigious stables and equine facilities in Virginia. The Upperville and Middleburg area is home to many of the country's premier Thoroughbred breeding farms, show hunter barns and country estates. On this remarkable weekend, owners welcome visitors and open the gates of their exquisite grounds, magnificent stables and extensive training facilities. Judges know what standard of riding they will judge to. Trainers know what standard they will train to. Ultimately, the rider determines what standard of riding occurs in any given ride (providing the horse is capable). I will share the steps that will help achieve your own standard.
